ORM Player

How to add an M3U playlist

Add an M3U or M3U8 playlist link to ORM Player, with an optional XMLTV guide link, and learn what happens with very large playlists.

An M3U playlist is a link to a list of streams. ORM Player reads it, sorts the entries into channels, films and series, and keeps the result on your device.

Steps

  1. Open the player and choose M3U playlist (or Settings, Add playlist).
  2. Paste the playlist URL. It usually ends in .m3u or .m3u8.
  3. If your provider gave a separate guide link (XMLTV), paste it under Guide URL. Many playlists contain it already, then ORM Player finds it by itself.
  4. Choose Connect. You see the entries being counted while the list is read.

Large playlists

Playlists can be tens of megabytes. ORM Player reads them in the background without freezing the screen, and only once: after that your library opens straight from the device and refreshes quietly every few hours.

Formats

Tip: if your provider also offers an Xtream Codes login, use that instead. It loads faster and adds catch-up. See adding an Xtream Codes login.
