ORM Player is built to know as little about you as possible. There are no accounts, no cookies, no tracking and no advertising.
What stays on your device
Your playlists and logins, your library, favourites, recently watched channels, resume positions and settings are stored only in your browser or app (IndexedDB). We do not receive them. Removing a playlist in Settings, or clearing your browser data, deletes them.
The relay
If your provider only uses HTTP, requests go through our relay (see terms):
- Your login is sent once over an encrypted connection to be sealed: encrypted with a key only our server has. The sealed version is stored on your device; we do not store your login.
- Requests (catalogue, guide, streams, images) pass through the relay and are not stored. Stream addresses inside the relay are encrypted.
- Your IP address is held in memory for at most ten minutes to apply rate limits, then discarded.
- Films or recordings that need converting are kept in temporary files while you watch, and deleted after at most a few hours.
We do not keep access logs of the player or the relay.
Cloudflare
ormplayer.com is delivered through Cloudflare (content delivery and protection against attacks). Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses on our behalf, under its own data processing terms.
Legal basis and retention
We process the minimum technical data needed to deliver the service you ask for (legitimate interest and performance of the service). Nothing is retained beyond the periods above.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, and to object. Because we hold no account or profile, there is usually nothing to look up. Questions: [email protected]. You can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
