Questions
Short answers to what people ask most.
What is ORM Player?
ORM Player is an IPTV player: an app that plays the M3U playlist or Xtream Codes login you get from your own provider. It shows live TV with a guide, catch-up, films and series.
Does ORM Player include channels or a subscription?
No. ORM Player is an empty player. It provides no channels, playlists or subscriptions and is not linked to any provider. You need your own legal subscription or playlist.
What is the difference between M3U and Xtream Codes?
An M3U playlist is a link to a list of streams. An Xtream Codes login (server, username, password) gives the player more: categories, the guide per channel, catch-up and film details. If you have both, use the Xtream Codes login.
Which devices can I use?
Any modern browser on PC, Mac, Chromebook, iPhone, iPad and Android, and the browsers of Samsung, LG and Android TV smart TVs. Native TV apps are in preparation.
Where is my login stored?
Only on your own device. For providers that use HTTP, your login passes our relay once to be sealed with encryption; we do not store it.
Why does my provider say the connection limit is reached?
Most subscriptions allow one stream at a time, and the previous stream can count for up to half a minute after switching. ORM Player retries by itself.
Does it work offline?
Your library, favourites and positions are stored on your device, so you can browse without a connection. Watching needs a connection to your provider.
What does ORM Player cost?
During the beta there is no charge. If that changes, it will be announced on this website well in advance.
